In the light of the introduction of interventional thrombectomy into the guideline »Acute therapy of ischaemic stroke« in 2015, the number of potential patients for neurothrombectomy according to the indication criteria mentioned in the approval studies and the number of patients receiving neurothrombectomy will be determined on the basis of data from the Stroke Quality Assurance in Baden-Württemberg. Furthermore, the empirical patient characteristics and clinical parameters for a neurothrombectomy will be analysed.

The PMV research group carried out the statistical analyses necessary to answer these questions.
